Black pastors partner with Chesapeake hospital to give out 2,000 vaccine doses
That’s how many will be handed out during a two-day clinic that kicked off Tuesday in South Norfolk, an event aimed at helping the neighborhood’s elderly Black residents get access to the coronavirus vaccine. The event, happening at Bethany Baptist Church, is not a walk-up clinic but is open to anyone who falls under the current state eligibility guidelines, even if they’re not a member of the congregation. Appointments were made by pre-registering people.
