About Tay Iwar

Tay Iwar a Nigerian artist, singer-songwriter, sound engineer and record producer. After Co-creating Bantu Collective in 2013 with his elder brother Suté, Tay released his debut project, Passport. The critically acclaimed 12- track EP earned him an organic following of fans and it became a sleeper hit. Tay has consistently released a myriad of singles since his debut EP. He released his debut album Gemini in 2019 in partnership with Soulection. These new songs have pushed his music to an even larger audience. He has been featured on Complex, Beats1 radio, Rinse fm among several prominent platforms. Tay has produced and/or featured on tracks for artists like M.I Abaga, ASA, Lou Val, Lady Donli, Odunsi (The Engine) and more. He describes his style of music as Afro-fusion or Neo Afro-pop which combines various elements from classic R&B to Afrobeats. 

7 April 2021, Nigerian singer-songwriter Tay Iwar has announced his upcoming EP ‘Love & Isolation’, due for release on 16 April 2021. “Peaking” is the first single from the upcoming project, and the track is now available across all major streaming platforms

‘Love & Isolation’ focuses on healing and tapping into the love that is shared and kept between people. Amidst a chaotic and spontaneous world forced into lockdown, the five track EP features slow-paced R&B songs, connected through beautiful melodies that take you on an escape through an alternate universe.

Tay Iwar describes his latest single as “The dramatic end to a consistent journey through Love & Isolation. It’s the perfect landing spot for the romantically packed EP.”
